Plop Planet is a game by pyramidstechnology LTD ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the game uses, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the Plop Planet app on Android.
Plop Planet is made for everyone, including children. We designed it to collect as little as possible.
Your progress (scores, coins, creatures found, unlocked planets and skins, settings, power-ups, streaks and the round you're playing) is saved in the game's own storage on your phone. It isn't sent to us. Uninstalling the game deletes it.
When you first open the game it asks how old you are. Your answer stays on your phone, is never sent to us or anyone else, and is used only to switch some features off for players under 13 (see "Children" below).
If you are signed in to Google Play Games, your scores are sent to Google Play Games so they can appear on the game's leaderboards, together with your Play Games name and picture as set in your Play Games profile. If you choose to share your Play Games friends list, the Ranks screen shows your friends' scores. You can play without signing in. Google's privacy policy applies to Play Games: policies.google.com/privacy
We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the game is played, for example how many rounds are started, which planets are played and when a power-up is used, so we can improve it. Each event comes with the planet, the game mode and a random number for that play session. We don't collect your advertising ID or any other identifier from your phone, we don't use Analytics for advertising, and we don't link it to you.
We use Firebase Crashlytics to receive a report when the game crashes, with technical details such as the phone model, Android version and what the game was doing, so we can fix the problem.
We also use Firebase Remote Config to adjust game settings, such as prices in coins or how often free rewards are available, without an app update. The game downloads these settings when it starts.
Firebase is provided by Google: firebase.google.com/support/privacy
The game shows ads from Google AdMob only when you choose to watch one for a reward (for example to keep going or to double your coins). All ads are not personalised and are limited to content suitable for all ages. The game asks AdMob to treat every request as directed at children, and it doesn't collect your advertising ID. AdMob may use information such as your phone's general location (from its IP address) and type to show and count ads. Google's policy: policies.google.com/technologies/ads
Optional purchases (coin packs and skins) are handled entirely by Google Play. We never see your payment details. Google tells the game what you have bought so it can be given to you and restored if you reinstall.
If you switch on a reminder in Settings, the game schedules a notification on your phone ("Daily planet is ready", or that your streak ends tonight). Reminders are off until you turn them on, and nothing about them is sent to us.
When you tap Share, the game creates a picture of your score and opens your phone's share menu. Nothing is sent until you choose an app and send it yourself.
Plop Planet is suitable for children and follows the Google Play Families Policy. For all players:
For players who say they are under 13, the game also doesn't ask them to sign in to Google Play Games, and shared scores don't include a link to the store. Parents or guardians who have questions, or who want to ask about information relating to their child, can contact us at the address below.
We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with anyone except the Google services described above, which process it for us to run the game.
Information on your phone stays until you uninstall the game. Google keeps Analytics data for up to 14 months and crash reports for 90 days. Leaderboard scores stay in Google Play Games until you delete your Play Games profile or game data there.
Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR) you can ask us for a copy of information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to how we use it. Because we don't collect your name or contact details, we may not be able to link Analytics or crash reports to you; tell us what you'd like and we'll do what we can. We use information for analytics and crash reports because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the game working and improving it.
If you're unhappy with how we handle information, please contact us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and, if the change matters, tell you in the game.
